General Comments About the Boat

Wigston has a semi traditional stern with gas locker to one side with engine bay access via rear decking.

She is a four berth boat with an en-suite pump out WC and sink off the rear cabin which itself has a fixed double that can be extended to a king size bed. There is also ample storage/wardrobes/cupboards and TV with built in DVD player.

The bathroom with corner bath, shower, sink pump out WC, extractor fan and shaver socket is immediately ahead of the rear cabin.

The galley sits immediately ahead of the bathroom and has a microwave (run via the inverter or from shoreline power hook-up) above a built-in gas oven with separate grill and a 12V freezer below. A full-size sink and drainer and a four-burner gas hob and a 12V fridge with wall mounted glass/mug cabinet immediately before the dinette complimenting the ample storage which includes a slide out storage unit area between the galley and dinette.

The L shaped dinette has options for a square or long table using either one or two of the table legs as required, or these can be stowed for extra space and when making up the dinette into a double berth.

Immediately ahead of the dinette is a solid fuel (coal) burning stove with fixed flue going up and out of the roof.

The forward seating area of the cabin has wall mounted TV with built in DVD and two swivelling/reclining "Captain's" chairs.

The fore deck has lockers that can have made to measure cushions placed on them and a single table leg hole so the square table can be set up for outdoor eating/drinking. The covers over the lockers also provide access to the bow thruster and its manual bilge pump and locker storage for coal, kindling, cleaning items buckets, anchor etc.

The bow itself contains the water tank and with the water filling point immediately ahead of the fore deck.

Pump out points are located on the roof.

Hot water can be via the engine or diesel heating system that also provides central heating to radiators in the rear cabin, main bathroom and forward cabin.

General comments by vendor

Options available to book free weeks if boat is unused by another owner who previously booked it.

Wigston has proven reliable for us whenever we've been on board and she is well cared for and looked after by the other owners, many of whom get involved with some of the general maintenance which means we are likely to reduce the monthly maintenance costs by at around £15 a month, to something in the region of £75 per month due to having built up a 'slush fund' in recent years. Whilst this 'belongs to the boat' the new owner would benefit from buying into a boat with a good residual bank balance to cover unexpected costs and larger projects that may be agreed upon in coming AGMs, which tend to take place in late October, or early November.
