General comments by vendor

Black Watch has recently been painted and some furniture replaced (convertible sofa and the double bed mattress).

There is central heating throughout the boat, via a separate diesel boiler and radiators.

She is kept in traditional style with an enclosed rear deck, with seating and engine controls.

Downstairs are the electrical switches, central heating controls and a good-sized clothes cupboard. This area is a self-contained master bedroom with a double bed, vanity unit, toilet room, under bed storage and fitted radio/mains and usb points.

Proceeding forward, there is the main bathroom on the port side comprising a shower, toilet, sink, vanity units and a charger for shavers.
Amidships is a well-equipped galley, with gas oven/grill, 4 burner hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Side doors can be opened in the galley in summer to benefit from good weather.

Past the galley is the dinette which can convert into a double bed looking forward towards the lounge and bow doors.

The main lounge comprises of an L-shaped settee giving ample space to sit and watch the television. It also converts into a double bed.

There is also a coal-fired stove. Forward of the bow doors there is the well-deck where portable chairs and a table can be brought out from the cabin, sheltered from rain by the traditional cratch cover.

We have enjoyed our time with Black Watch and have found Nantwich Marina to be safe, easy to navigate and with friendly staff. The cruising opportunities are excellent. The boat is always marina-based (unless agreed between owners) and it is intended to move to the Kennet and Avon Canal either in 2025 or 2026.

Black Watch had a galley refit recently, pictures above are of the old galley.

All in all, the boat-share scheme gives worry-free boating at a sensible cost.
